Materials

Features

Parasol compatible bar sets, of course, aren’t available with fire pit and ice bucket sets, but do add something the other two can’t, the option of shade.
Styles
The bar sets we retail come in three differing styles; seriously contemporary, nice and traditional and a flexible style which could suit modern or traditional style gardens. Rattan for example is very much a traditional looking material and could look a little out of place in a modern contemporary garden. They also look a little less sleek and are generally bulkier than their modern competitors. If you have a modern garden, you want to take a look at a bar set featuring aluminum. Whether that’s a mixture of aluminum and teak, aluminum and outdoor fabric or aluminum and rope weave, all three will suit various styles of modern gardens.
Colours
Of course, colour plays a big part in a piece of furnitures suitability in your garden. If you have a very neutral coloured garden, you don’t want to add a set which has a vastly contrasting colour which also clashes with other furniture and features of your garden. For example, if you have a nice traditional Cotswold style garden, bathed in warm Cotswold style warm beige tones, a dark grey piece of furniture is going to stand out like a sore thumb. Pairing your Cotswold garden with a neutral coloured rattan bar set will achieve the perfect combination of materials, colours and styles and help them to blend in with one another and look like it belongs where it is.
Longevity
When picking any piece of furniture, especially if you’re investing a larger sum of money into it, build quality and longevity is something well worth considering. Manufacturers will always rave about the quality of their products, and rightly so, as the vast majority are all very well built and scream quality. However, when considering your bar set purchase you might want to have a think about how long its likely to last. Rattan, if left uncovered in the elements for long periods, has a drastically reduced lifespan versus a hard wearing material such as aluminum for example. Teak topped tables look stunning, but they do take some ongoing maintenance to keep the original look and to make them last as long as possible.
